Position Overview: 1st Shift Cost Estimator, focusing on analyzing and estimating manufacturing costs for diverse projects in laser cutting and metal fabrication
Core Responsibilities but not Limited to:

- Reviewing customer requirements and project specifications
- Creatively present professional and technical responses to customer RFQ’S
- Analyze projects to develop a strategy to successfully provide competitive bids and win business
- On a timely basis prepare estimates / quote letters that consider the scope of all opportunities and proposals
- Effectively communicate the solution and estimated cost with our sales team
- Prepare Cost Breakdown forms for all OEM’s and Tier One’s
- Ability to prepare custom responses to RFQ’s as required by customer
- Identify, research, and aquire costs for purchase goods as required by RFQ
Qualifications:

- Min. 3 years’ experience – Parts Manufacturing Costing/Manufacturing Plant experience
- Manufacturing Engineering background a plus for technical applications that will apply to Job
- Knowledge of parts fabrication both in high and low volume
- Technical and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Accounting skills or effective analytical skills a plus
- Strong written communication skills, exceptional organizational & time management skills a definite plus
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time
- Planning and problem-solving capabilities
- Ideal candidate must be proactive and motivated, able to work independently with direction given, and have proficient computer skills, particularly in all Microsoft Office Products
- Experience quoting fabricated metal assemblies
- Experience quoting machined components
